Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder

Welcome Back To My Blog Loves.

Today I Am Going To Review Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder. I think it's safe to say the Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder resembles the ever-popular Ben Nye Banana Powder.

Makeup Revolution Claims- Warm your skin with Makeup Revolution's mattifying Luxury Banana Baking Powder. With a hint of color, set your foundation and reduce shine while correcting redness and pink undertones.

Price: INR 850/- for 42gm. Which I Think Is The Best Deal In Drugstore.

Packaging-  The packaging is super simple and almost identical to the Ben Nye version, even down to the sieve applicator.

What is Banana Powder? Well, this is actually a makeup artist secret that is not so secret anymore! This yellow powder is used to set or 'bake' mainly the under eyes and anywhere where you would normally apply your concealer. It's especially popular for the under eyes because of it's yellow tone that can help brighten too.

Application
Because this is a loose powder I would advise using the lid to tap some of the product into the lid or the back of your hand as this does get a little messy.
Upon application, the powder has a thick and silky consistency to it and can be used one of two ways :-

1.BAKING - As I mentioned above you can use this to bake and contour with using a damp makeup sponge.  If you're not familiar with baking

2.LIGHT DUSTING - You can also use this with a brush to lightly dust over the face to mattify and set your concealer too.

I experimented with both application methods and I have to say i like to Light dust over the face with brush and on the concelar area i keep the powder for few minutes so that it locks the concelar and don’t crease.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder:
I can now see why everyone raves about them – they are class apart, they are neither setting powders nor translucent powder. I have to say I did love the luxury feel of the powder and it really did help mattify my face after foundation and concealer. I also like the fact that along with my concealer this did help mask my dark circles and redness, however, I don't think this did much in the way of overly brightening my complexion. This sets my makeup for more than 5 hours. This has been a rockstar. The powder is almost like a talcum but Yellow in colour. It Gives Flawless Finish To The Makeup. This bakes the concealer and also helps to highlight the contoured area underneath the jawline. It blends and sits on the skin wherever I need it.

If you have Oily Skin Than This Is Life Saviour For You But If You Have Dry Skin Plus If You Are Using Mattifying Foundation Than It Will Give You Cakey Finish As Well As Patches but if your foundation is luminous, this will do the opposite for you. For me, a solution is to spray a setting spray over this so it does not feel patchy in anyway.

Apart from that, I love this powder for skin, remember it does not camouflage pores or scars. I think this powder is a wonderful dupe for the Ben Nye version, plus its amazing value for money for how much you get in the pot.

Pros Of Luxury Banana Powder:
  • Smooth as talc.
  • Sets my concealer and foundation for more than 5 hours easily.
  • Hides my red undertones with the yellow tone in it (which they claim).
  • Will last me a long time.
  • Works as a setting powder for me.

Cons of Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder:
  • On dry skin, this might look patchy, You Might Need setting spray to Even out the problem.
  • Many may not want the yellow tone in it.
  • Jar might be troublesome for many who love compacts.

Rating- 4.5 out of 5.

Recommend or not- I Will Definately Buy It Again and Recommend All Of You. It Stands On Words It Claims.
